The Small Business Development Center at Highline College specializes in providing business and training services to entrepreneurs and existing businesses in order to be successful in today's economy. Businesses need to register with the State of Washington and complete a business license application. The City of Federal Way regulates all businesses that operate within the city limits. The City staff at the Permitting Center work in collaboration with South King Fire & Rescue and the Lakehaven Water & Sewer District on business permitting, code review and inspection.
